The Berggasthaus Masescha came into existence in 1877. In 1929 Guntram and Emma Fehr purchased the Berggasthaus and subsequently renovated and expanded the restaurant. The now third generation of the Family Fehr still operates the restaurant.
The restaurant is nestled 1,240 meters above sea level and is known to be the "Sun Terrace" of the region. Masescha is a mere 15 minutes of easy driving above the capital Vaduz and features regional cuisine. The restaurant is internationally known for its Apfelkuchen (special apple cake), invented by Maria Fehr. This secret recipe is held closely by the family.
